Lianhuashan (Lotus Hill) sits at the northern end of Futian's central axis. A 20-minute walk up leads to the summit plaza and the bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping, with the best free view of the CBD and Ping An Finance Center.

Below the hill are Kite Square, lakes and lawns, and the park hosts some of the city's seasonal festivals. Entry is free.
