SEG Plaza is the 70-storey tower at the heart of Huaqiangbei, and its lower floors are the SEG Electronics Market: thousands of tiny stalls selling everything from resistors and LEDs to drones, phone screens and dev boards.

It's the building that made Shenzhen the "Silicon Valley of hardware". Makers come to source parts; everyone else comes for the spectacle. Pair it with a walk down Huaqiangbei Pedestrian Street, which turns into a wall of neon after dark.
