What is Shenzhen Eco-Agriculture & Food Ingredients Expo (IEAE China)?
Known in Chinese as 深农会 (the "Shenzhen agriculture fair"), this is a mid-sized December trade fair at the Futian Convention & Exhibition Center that links farm and food producers from across China with buyers in the Greater Bay Area. It is also marketed as the Shenzhen Rural Revitalisation Industry Expo, and much of the floor is regional: provincial, city and county pavilions promoting their geographical-indication produce, time-honoured brands and farm tourism. The 2026 edition, billed as the 15th, runs on 24–26 December and is organised by Shenzhen Yagao International Exhibition Technology Services with Heilongjiang Renmai Agricultural Technology, under sponsors including the China State Farms Trade and Distribution Association and Shenzhen University's urban agriculture institute. The organising line-up has changed from year to year.
The product zones for 2026 cover fruit and vegetables, rice, grains and edible oils, natural and organic foods, imported food (Canada, ASEAN and Belt and Road countries), forest foods and mushrooms, "food-as-medicine" ingredients such as goji, jujube, lily bulb and tremella, tea, drinks, alcohol and snacks, and agricultural technology such as traceability, farm robots and e-commerce services. The 2026 line-up includes a halal products zone, backed by Malaysian halal organisations and linked to the organisers' talks on a halal export industrial park in Huizhou.
The 2024 edition gives a sense of scale: 15,000 square metres, 57,635 visits and 10,928 buyer visits. Jiangxi Province ran a 50-booth fair-within-a-fair with nearly 500 local products, and Beiliu in Guangxi promoted passion fruit, lychee and selenium-rich rice. Delegations came from places such as Yuanyang in Yunnan, Yichun in Heilongjiang, Youyang in Chongqing and Hunan's Shibadong village. For 2026 the organiser plans about 20,000 square metres and 60,000 visits.
Buyers targeted include wholesalers and wholesale markets, importers and agents, supermarkets and community stores, e-commerce and livestream sellers, restaurant and canteen groups, and food processors. Side events include a buyer–supplier signing session for Greater Bay Area purchasers, a national e-commerce product-selection conference for farm goods, regional public-brand promotions and a livestream selling festival.
For foreigners, it is most useful for food importers, restaurant buyers and anyone exporting Chinese specialty or halal food to Southeast Asia. It is a Chinese-language, domestic-facing fair, much smaller than Shenzhen's big international food shows.
Why go
- Meet county and provincial producer delegations selling geographical-indication fruit, rice, tea and specialty foods direct
- Source organic, forest and food-as-medicine ingredients for restaurants, canteens or retail
- Look at the halal products zone if you export Chinese food to Muslim markets
- Join buyer–supplier matchmaking and e-commerce product-selection sessions for farm goods
- Central Futian venue, a short metro ride for Shenzhen-based buyers
Our take
Expect a Chinese-language, government-pavilion style fair where the value is meeting producing regions directly; bring a Mandarin speaker and business cards. Some regional pavilions also sell on site (the 2024 Jiangxi pavilion reported consumer sales alongside buyer meetings), so you can taste specialties before ordering in volume.

Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Walk to a dozen business hotels in the CBD, and to the rooftop bars afterwards.
- Enter from the metro level, not the street — the badge desks are underground.
- Lunch: skip the hall canteens and walk 5 min to the malls around Shopping Park.
