What is TCT Shenzhen – South China 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Exhibition?

TCT Shenzhen is the South China spin-off of TCT Asia, the Shanghai 3D-printing show that grew out of the British TCT brand and arrived in China in 2015. Its organiser, Globus Rapid News, is a joint venture between the UK publisher Rapid News Publications and a Shanghai exhibition company. TCT Asia is a broad industrial event. The Shenzhen show is deliberately narrower: it looks at how additive manufacturing is used in the Greater Bay Area's own industries, namely consumer electronics, moulds and tooling, jewellery and dental and medical work, and it also serves buyers from southwest China and Southeast Asia. The organiser's archive lists Shenzhen editions in 2019 and 2025, and the 2026 show fills Hall 15 at Shenzhen World.

The 2026 online exhibitor directory lists about 240 companies, and they cover the whole chain. On the machine side there are resin and powder-bed systems such as Formlabs (SLA and SLS printers), Shenzhen's Jinshi 3D, Nanjing's Zhongke Yuchen Laser for metal additive and laser cladding, and Shanghai Yisu Laser for printed mould inserts. Materials are well represented: Polymaker filaments, Beifeng and AVIMETAL metal powders, Boli resins, and Scalmalloy aluminium through its Chinese licensee. Shenzhen is a global base for desktop printers and consumables, so you will also see many filament, resin and pellet suppliers selling into export markets.

Visitors are product designers, prototyping and tooling engineers, service bureaus, dental labs, jewellery makers and a growing crowd of makers and small brands. The talks in 2026 reflect local industry. The TCT Shenzhen Summit has tracks on 3D printing in digital medicine, on low-altitude aviation and commercial space, and on thermal management for electronics, including printed cold plates. There is also an AI plus 3D printing smart-manufacturing forum, a Greater Bay Area "going global" forum on selling to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and the TCT Introducing stage, where about 30 companies launch new products.

The show also has a consumer-creator side. The 3D Genius Hub hosts Maker Talk sessions with Chinese designers and overseas YouTubers, which makes it one of the more approachable trade fairs for a curious expat maker.

If you are designing hardware in Shenzhen, TCT is a quick way to find printing partners, compare materials and meet the companies that make much of the world's desktop 3D-printing gear.

Why go

  1. See industrial and desktop 3D printers, metal powders, resins and filaments from about 240 exhibitors in a single hall
  2. Find service bureaus and materials for prototyping, mould inserts, jewellery, dental and electronics thermal parts
  3. Free summit tracks on digital medicine, low-altitude aviation and space, thermal management and AI in manufacturing
  4. TCT Introducing launch stage and the 3D Genius Hub maker talks with local and overseas creators
  5. Meet Shenzhen's export-focused consumables makers if you sell 3D-printing products abroad

Our take

Everything is in Hall 15, so half a day covers the floor. Check the summit schedule for the track you want, because each topic runs on a single day. Other Shenzhen World shows run the same week, including PM & IACE for powder metallurgy and ceramics, so a metal-AM visitor can combine the two.

Go if you're

  • Hardware product designers and prototyping engineers
  • Mould, tooling and jig makers
  • Dental labs, medical-device developers and jewellery makers
  • 3D-printing service bureaus and resellers, including Southeast Asian distributors
  • Makers, creators and small consumer brands

Flying in? The visitor guide

What international buyers ask us most, in one place.

Visa-free entry

Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.

Paying for things

Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.

Staying online

Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.

Badge & business cards

Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.

Interpreters

Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.

Samples & shipping

Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.

Where to stay near Shenzhen World

Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.

  • Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
  • Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
  • Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.
