What is International Integrated Circuit Innovation Expo (IICIE)?
IICIE (IC创新博览会) is the chip-industry show in Shenzhen World's big September electronics week. It runs on the same dates as CIOE, the photonics fair, and elexcon, the electronics and embedded show, with one e-pass covering all three. IICIE covers the whole integrated-circuit chain: chip design, wafer fabs and foundries, packaging and test, semiconductor equipment, materials and precision parts, plus compound semiconductors (SiC, GaN, gallium oxide) and power devices. It grew out of SEMI-e, the Shenzhen International Semiconductor Exhibition & IC Industry Innovation Expo, which CIOE and the IC Innovation Alliance hosted in the same slot in 2025. The Shenzhen World calendar lists Shenzhen Herong Zhongxin Exhibition as the 2026 organizer.
In September 2026 the organizer counted 935 exhibitors on 50,000 m², 86,452 professional visitors and 24 conferences and events. The three shows together drew 325,810 visitors over three days. Memory makers, foundries and packaging houses stood out in 2026, as chip prices rose on AI demand. A media walk-through named Hua Hong, Nexchip, XMC, Tongfu Microelectronics, Huatian, China Resources Microelectronics, GigaDevice, Dosilicon, Biwin, Montage Technology, Sanechips and Unigroup Guoxin among the exhibitors. They showed Chiplet and 3D-stacking platforms, hybrid bonding, HBM and CPO packaging, NAND/NOR flash, MCUs and PCIe/CXL interconnect chips. Themed areas included automotive optical communication, an AI + chips area, a RISC-V ecosystem zone, a chip-design pavilion, a lithography area tied to the IWAPS workshop, and a universities and research institutes zone.
Visitors are engineers, buyers and managers from chip users and makers. The organizer's list of visiting companies includes foundries and memory makers such as SMIC, Samsung, SK hynix and YMTC, chip designers such as Qualcomm, NVIDIA, HiSilicon and MediaTek, equipment firms such as NAURA and AMEC, and manufacturers such as Luxshare and Han's Laser. Conferences in 2026 included the 10th International Workshop on Advanced Patterning Solutions (IWAPS), the JW Insights global semiconductor analyst conference, an automotive optical communication forum and an AI innovation application forum. Conference registration is free.
The Pearl River Delta buys a huge volume of chips, with phone, PC, appliance, EV and electronics makers all buying locally. IICIE is where Shenzhen meets the domestic chip supply chain. Go if you source chips, foundry or packaging services, or semiconductor equipment and materials. It also makes sense if you're already at CIOE, since the IC halls are in the same venue. The same team is taking an Asia semiconductor show (ASE 2027) to Singapore in March 2027.
Why go
- Meet China's chip supply chain in one place: foundries, packaging houses, memory makers, chip designers, equipment and materials suppliers
- Hot topics on the floor: Chiplet and 3D stacking, hybrid bonding, HBM and CPO packaging, RISC-V, compound semiconductors
- One e-pass also gets you into CIOE (photonics) and elexcon (electronics and embedded)
- Free conference registration; 2026 events included the IWAPS lithography workshop and the JW Insights analyst conference
- Themed zones for RISC-V, AI chips, automotive optical communication and university research
Our take
Register once for the shared e-pass and plan your day across all three shows, since packaging, CPO and optical-interconnect content overlaps between IICIE and CIOE. Sign up separately (free) for the forums you want, such as IWAPS, because seats are registered in advance.
Go if you're
- Hardware and chip engineers at phone, PC, appliance, EV and electronics makers
- Chip buyers and supply-chain managers looking for domestic sources
- Fab, packaging and equipment engineers sourcing tools, materials and parts
- Researchers, analysts and investors following China's semiconductor industry

Days & opening hours
Hours are the organiser's. Last entry is usually 30 minutes before closing, and the last day often closes early.
How to get in
- Just turn upTrade visitors can almost always register at the on-site counter. Bring your passport and a business card.
- Or pre-register onlineFree, about 3 minutes. You get a QR e-badge and skip the counter queue. Organiser's registration page ↗
- Collect your badgeShow the QR (or your passport) at the badge desk. Screenshot it first — venue Wi-Fi is slow on day one.
Online pre-registration; one e-pass covers IICIE, CIOE and elexcon; conference registration is free
Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.
- Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
- Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
- Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.
