What is SZI EXPO: Shenzhen International Adult Expo?
SZI EXPO is a business-to-business trade fair for the adult wellness and intimate-products industry, held at Shenzhen World in Bao'an. It is organized by Fujian Haoyu Group, an exhibition company founded in 2010 that moved into adult-industry trade fairs in 2014, says it is the exclusive Asian agent for several international trade fairs in the sector, and its site links to a sister show, Eden Adult Expo in Japan. The first SZI EXPO took place in 2025. A second edition planned for September 2026 was postponed, and the organizer now lists 5–7 March 2027 in Hall 10.
The reason the show is in Shenzhen is manufacturing. The 2027 exhibitor list reads like a map of the Pearl River Delta supply chain: dozens of factories from Dongguan and Shenzhen, plus Zhongshan, Jieyang, Ningbo and Xiamen. Many are OEM/ODM manufacturers that build products for overseas brands, such as Odeco (a Shenzhen ODM since 2008) and Realov (vacuum and app-connected products). Others are component makers, such as a Shenzhen micro-motor company. International names on the 2027 list include TENGA (through its Shanghai distributor), Japan's Nippori and Canada's BMS Factory. There are also intimate-care and lubricant makers such as Cokelife, established in 2000, and a men's intimate-health brand from a Shenzhen biotech firm. The categories are adult toys, intimate care and lubricants, condoms, adult health supplements, lingerie, novelty products and BDSM gear, plus companion dolls and robots and an 'AI technology' section where Youzan (merchant software) and Weidian's retail arm pitch AI tools to retailers.
The audience is trade only in practice: brand owners, importers and distributors, online and offline retailers, cross-border sellers and e-commerce platforms. Visitors apply for a trade badge through a company-details form. The organizer counted 202 exhibitors from 32 countries at the 2025 edition; its visitor figure differs between pages (34,613 on the home page, 37,496 in the 2027 brochure). Its media partners are the adult-industry trade press, including Erotic Trade Only, SIGN and PULSE.
For most people in Shenzhen this is not a day out. It is relevant if you work in sexual-wellness e-commerce, run a retail brand looking for a factory, or cover consumer-hardware manufacturing: few other events show how much of this category is engineered in Dongguan.

Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.
- Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
- Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
- Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.
