What is S-FACTORY EXPO – Smart Factory & Automation Technology Expo (Shenzhen)?
S-FACTORY EXPO is RX's show for the kit that turns a production line into a connected, largely hands-off factory. The Shenzhen edition is organised by RX Greater China together with a cooperation centre under China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and it runs every autumn at Shenzhen World in Bao'an as part of RX's ITWA industrial cluster, sharing Halls 9–16 with NEPCON ASIA, VisionChina, ROBOTECH, Automotive World China, ES SHOW and C-TOUCH & DISPLAY.
The floor is split into five areas: industrial robots and integrators (cobots, handling, assembly and welding robots), motion control (drives, pneumatics and other automation components), smart warehousing and intralogistics (AGVs and AMRs, automated storage, warehouse software), industrial software such as MES and lean-production systems, and end-of-line packaging machines like carton erectors, case packers, labellers, strapping and stretch-wrap units and palletisers. For 2026 the organiser names HIWIN, Flexiv, IKO, MOSIONX, Konecranes, World Wide Group and MEAN WELL among the exhibitors. There is also a themed area on electronics assembly, and a looped "future factory" demonstration that walks an order through AGV transport, depalletising, packing, sorting, vision inspection and a security-patrol robot.
The visitor list reads like Shenzhen's manufacturing base: EMS and consumer-electronics factories, SMT and PCB lines, semiconductor packaging, display and touch-panel makers, new-energy and automotive suppliers, and warehouse operators. Most come to find specific automation parts or a system integrator for a line upgrade, and the badge also opens the NEPCON ASIA halls next door, which carry the big SMT and inspection equipment brands.
Alongside the stands, RX runs a smart-factory and AI-automation forum, a conference on industrial components for smart equipment and a smart-warehousing summit. It also shares three embodied-AI robotics forums with ROBOTECH and offers guided visits to working factories in the region. The organiser expects more than 3,000 overseas visitors in 2026, mainly from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, and runs a hosted-buyer programme (TAP) with pre-arranged meetings.
S-FACTORY itself is compact (its 2025 show outline cites 100-plus exhibitors and brands). Its value is the combination: in one day at Shenzhen World you can see automation components, robots, machine vision and electronics-assembly lines from the suppliers that equip factories across the Pearl River Delta.
Why go
- Source motion-control parts, AGVs/AMRs, cobots and end-of-line packaging machines from one hall
- See a working 'future factory' demo line that links AGVs, palletising, packing, sorting and vision inspection
- One free badge also covers NEPCON ASIA, VisionChina, ROBOTECH and the other ITWA shows in Halls 9–16
- Free forums on smart factories, industrial components and smart warehousing, plus organised factory tours
- Pre-arranged buyer meetings through RX's TAP hosted-buyer programme
Our take
Treat S-FACTORY as one stop on an ITWA day: the same badge opens Halls 9–16, so plan to walk NEPCON ASIA's SMT lines and the VisionChina and ROBOTECH halls too. Pre-register online and bring your passport, because badges are collected at the South Lobby.
Go if you're
- Automation and production engineers at EMS, consumer-electronics and PCB factories
- Plant managers planning line upgrades in automotive, new-energy, semiconductor and display manufacturing
- Warehouse and logistics managers looking at AGVs, AMRs and automated storage
- System integrators and distributors of automation components
- Overseas buyers, especially from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe

Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.
- Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
- Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
- Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.
