What is PM & IACE Shenzhen – South China International Powder Metallurgy & Advanced Ceramics Exhibition?
PM & IACE Shenzhen is the southern sister of PM China, the Shanghai powder-metallurgy and hard-metals fair that Uniris Exhibition has run for 18 years and bills as the largest of its kind in the world. Uniris holds the Shanghai show in spring and this one in autumn to serve the Pearl River Delta. Two exhibitions share the floor: PM Shenzhen, for powder metallurgy, and IACE Shenzhen, for advanced ceramics. The 2025 edition ran in Futian's Hall 2 and, by the organiser's count, drew 19,458 visits from 32 countries and regions. In 2026 it moves to Hall 16 at Shenzhen World in Bao'an, where the organiser is planning for 300-plus exhibitors on 30,000 m².
The subject is making parts from powder rather than from solid metal. The floor follows the process in order: raw powders (iron, stainless, copper, tungsten carbide, cobalt, nickel, refractory metals, ceramics), then pressing, metal injection moulding (MIM) and sintering equipment such as vacuum and debinding furnaces, then finished parts including sintered gears, MIM components, hard-metal tools and magnets, and finally the analysers and microscopes used to check quality. Named 2026 exhibitors include Yuean New Materials, Jinchuan Group, GRIPM, Hengpu, NCS Testing, Gangyan Haopu (hot isostatic pressing), Sinoma Advanced Materials and dozens of furnace, graphite and kiln makers.
It matters in Shenzhen because so many local products depend on powder parts: foldable-phone hinges and other small MIM components in consumer electronics, reducer gears in EVs, magnets and joint modules in robots, and ceramic substrates for power electronics and chargers. The visitors are materials and process engineers, sourcing managers for small precision parts, and R&D staff from electronics, automotive, medical and tool companies.
The forums are technical and in Chinese. On 14 October 2026 there is a South China MIM applications summit covering 3C, medical and automotive parts. On 15 October a forum looks at robot joint modules and magnetic materials, and a third focuses on advanced ceramics and semiconductor materials, including silicon carbide. The organiser counts more than 50 talks across the forums.
The show runs the same week as TCT Shenzhen, the 3D-printing fair, so anyone working on metal powders or printed parts can cover both in one trip to Bao'an.
Why go
- Source metal and ceramic powders, MIM feedstock and sintered or MIM parts from the suppliers behind Shenzhen's electronics and EV supply chain
- Compare debinding, sintering and hot-isostatic-pressing furnaces and powder-testing instruments
- Technical forums on MIM for 3C, medical and automotive parts, robot joint magnets, and ceramics for semiconductors
- Free e-ticket with online registration
- Easy to combine with TCT Shenzhen (3D printing) the same week at Shenzhen World
Our take
The last day closes at lunchtime, so plan to be there on 14 or 15 October, when the forums run. Everything is in Hall 16, and the technical talks are in Mandarin, so bring a Chinese-speaking colleague if you want to follow the MIM or magnet sessions.
Go if you're
- Materials and process engineers in powder metallurgy, MIM and ceramics
- Sourcing managers for small precision parts in consumer electronics, EVs, robotics and medical devices
- Magnet, hard-metal and cutting-tool manufacturers
- University and research-institute materials scientists
- Distributors of furnaces, powders and lab instruments

Forums, awards & what else is on
- South China MIM Applications Summit, on 3C, medical and automotive uses (14 Oct 2026, Hall 16 Forum Area A)
- 2026 Robot Joint Modules & Magnetic Materials Innovation Forum (15 Oct 2026)
- Advanced ceramics and semiconductor-materials forum, including silicon carbide (2026)
- Two shows in one: PM Shenzhen (powder metallurgy) and IACE Shenzhen (advanced ceramics)

Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.
- Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
- Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
- Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.

What is the difference between PM Shenzhen and IACE Shenzhen?
They are two co-located shows from the same organiser: PM covers powder metallurgy (metal powders, MIM, sintering, hard metals, magnets) and IACE covers advanced ceramics (ceramic powders, components, kilns and test equipment).
How does it relate to PM China?
It is the South China edition of PM China, which runs in Shanghai in spring. The organiser calls this a spring-Shanghai, autumn-Shenzhen pairing.
Where was it held before?
The 2025 edition was in Hall 2 of the Futian convention centre. 2026 is its first year at Shenzhen World in Bao'an.
Which industries is it most relevant to?
Anyone buying or making small precision metal or ceramic parts: consumer electronics (MIM hinges and structural parts), EVs (sintered gears), robotics (magnets, joint modules), medical devices and cutting tools, plus the powder, furnace and instrument suppliers that serve them.
