What is Shenzhen Mingpin Home Expo?
The Mingpin Home Expo (名品家博会, roughly 'brand-name home fair') is a free shopping fair for Shenzhen households who are furnishing or renovating a home. It is run by Shenzhen Century Oriental Exhibition, a local organizer that also runs the Shenzhen Wedding Expo, and it is held several times a year at the Futian Convention & Exhibition Center: the 39th edition was in late July 2026 and the 40th follows in late October.
It is one-stop shopping for a flat. The official brand list for the 40th edition runs to well over a hundred names across furniture, kitchen appliances, home appliances, renovation firms, custom cabinetry, water purifiers, doors and windows, tiles, flooring, bathrooms, paint and curtains. The headline sponsor is range-hood maker Robam, with Airland mattresses, ZUOYOU sofas, JOMOO bathrooms, Goldenhome custom kitchens and wardrobes, Vidar flooring, Eagle ceramics and Midea appliances as co-sponsors. Also on the list: mattress brands De Rucci, Serta, King Koil, Simmons and MLILY, sofa makers CHEERS, La-Z-Boy and KUKA, Fotile, Siemens, Hisense, Casarte and Panasonic appliances, Huawei's HarmonyOS smart-home and Xiaomi whole-home smart-home stands, OPPEIN and Sogal custom furniture, TOTO and Arrow bathrooms, Nippon's repainting service and Opple lighting, plus local renovation contractors.
The point for a visitor is price and convenience. The official site lists 'Mingpin prices' for specific items (a Midea inverter air-conditioner, a Xiaomi Mini LED TV, a Wanhe water heater, mattress-and-bed sets), offers brand coupons that knock a few hundred yuan off orders above a threshold, and runs a prize draw for orders of 1,000 yuan or more. The organizer promises a 60-day after-sales guarantee period and a service hotline if a deal goes wrong.
Entry is free. Register on the site or through the WeChat account and you get an e-ticket, or a paper ticket posted to you if you sign up with your real name at least two weeks before the show. For foreign residents it is a practical afternoon out if you need to kit out a flat: you can compare dozens of appliance, mattress and kitchen brands side by side, but everything is in Chinese and you will want help reading quotes and delivery terms.

Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Walk to a dozen business hotels in the CBD, and to the rooftop bars afterwards.

Is it the same as the Shenzhen Home Decoration Festival?
No. Both are free consumer home fairs at Futian, but they are run by different organizers on different dates. Many brands appear at both.
