What is Korea Business Expo Shenzhen?
The Korea Business Expo is a travelling export fair run by World-OKTA, the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations. The federation was founded in Seoul in 1981 by overseas Korean traders and now has 157 chapters in 76 countries. Its members are Korean businesspeople trading abroad, and the expo's purpose is to bring them together with Korean small and mid-sized manufacturers looking for export orders. Recent editions were held in Korean cities (Andong and Incheon in 2025, Gangseo in Seoul in spring 2026). In October 2026 the expo comes to Shenzhen's Futian convention centre, attached to the 30th World-OKTA Convention (8–11 October), and is co-hosted with the Shenzhen Commercial Federation and co-organised by Shenzhen Enterprise Services Group. Korea's trade ministry, KOTRA, the Korean embassy in China and the Overseas Koreans Agency are listed as sponsors.
The official page plans about 550 exhibiting organisations: around 350 Korean companies, around 100 Chinese companies seeking export markets, about 100 OKTA member firms and a set of local-government pavilions. On the buying side it expects roughly 1,500 participants, most of them World-OKTA member buyers from around the world plus about 200 overseas local buyers. Korean press reports in June 2026 gave higher targets (750 exhibitors, 2,000 buyers and 6,000 visitors), so treat all figures as plans.
The online exhibitor directory for Shenzhen, with just over 200 entries when checked, shows the flavour: Korean cosmetics and skincare makers and OEM labs, health and beauty devices, packaged foods such as Wando seaweed, consumer gadgets, software and AI firms, and even a hospital, Yongin Severance, promoting medical services. Many listings say what kind of Chinese buyer they want, typically importers and distributors serving supermarkets, online retail and food service.
The format is built around meetings rather than browsing. At the spring 2026 Gangseo edition, companies were grouped into beauty, lifestyle, ICT and industrial zones with one-to-one consultation areas, and World-OKTA runs a Biz-Match request system in the online directory. The Shenzhen edition also hosts the final of World-OKTA's AI startup competition on 9 October.
For a Shenzhen audience it is a rare, concentrated chance to meet Korean suppliers and the global Korean trading diaspora without flying to Seoul: useful for importers, cross-border sellers and distributors looking for K-beauty, Korean food or consumer products, and for anyone building Korea–China trade links. Entry is free with registration.

Our take
Pre-register online, then show ID at the pass desk; the organizer warns that entry may be refused without ID or a business card. Browse the online exhibitor directory beforehand and send Biz-Match requests to the suppliers you care about, because the show is only two days and built around scheduled meetings. Much of the exhibitor information is in English and Korean.

Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Walk to a dozen business hotels in the CBD, and to the rooftop bars afterwards.
- Enter from the metro level, not the street — the badge desks are underground.
- Lunch: skip the hall canteens and walk 5 min to the malls around Shopping Park.
