What is elexcon Shenzhen International Electronics & Embedded Expo?
elexcon is Shenzhen's yearly trade show for electronic components and embedded systems. It takes place each September at Shenzhen World in Bao'an, on exactly the same days as CIOE (the optoelectronics expo) and IICIE (the integrated-circuit innovation expo), so the three together fill most of the venue. The 2026 show was the 23rd edition. For 2027 the official site names Shenzhen Herong Zhongxin Exhibition as organizer and keeps the theme "All for AI, All for Green".
The show floor is aimed at people who design and buy hardware. The official product scope covers MCUs, MPUs, SoCs and FPGAs for edge AI, embedded modules and development boards, embedded operating systems and debugging tools, memory and storage, power-management ICs and power semiconductors, passive components, connectors and wire harnesses, relays, MEMS sensors, test and measurement, PCB and EMS services, automotive electronics, and SiP / advanced packaging. Companies in the 2026 directory and media-partner listings included the inductor maker Sunlord, memory makers YMTC and Demingli, the dev-board brand ALIENTEK, the analog and power chip maker Shanghai Belling, and Linaro. Huaqiang Semiconductor, the distribution arm of the Huaqiangbei group, showed motor-drive reference designs. Because so many exhibitors are distributors and module houses, the show works as a trade-floor version of the Huaqiangbei component markets.
Visitors are mostly engineers, developers, purchasing managers and technical decision-makers. They come from consumer electronics, automotive, telecom, data centres, medical electronics, industrial control and IoT. The three co-located shows together reported more than 5,000 exhibitors and more than 240,000 professional visitors in 2026. Those totals cover all three shows, not elexcon on its own.
The conference programme is a big part of the draw. The 2026 edition ran the 8th China Embedded Technology Conference and the 10th SiP Conference China. It also had forums on solid-state transformers, automotive electronics and optical-electrical integration in AI data centres, plus KAIFA GALA, a developer and engineer carnival. Ahead of the show the organizer published sourcing requests from automotive and overseas buyers and set up matchmaking with suppliers. If you design products in Shenzhen, it is an efficient way to meet chip vendors, distributors and module makers in one place, and your trip can also take in CIOE and IICIE.

What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.
- Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
- Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
- Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.
