UpperHills深业上城
Futian mall and 'small town' of low-rise streets and plazas beside Lianhuashan Park, used for markets, wine and food festivals.
Futian mall with a rooftop village of low-rise shops and sky bridges into two parks
UpperHills (深业上城) is the mixed-use complex by Shum Yip Group on Huanggang Road in Futian, opened in 2018 between Lianhuashan Park and Bijiashan Park. Below the office towers sits a conventional mall, but the part people come for is on the roof: a 'LOFT town' of more than 20 three- and four-storey buildings arranged like a small village, painted in reds, oranges and yellows with a nod to Mondrian.
The rooftop streets hold around 90 shops, cafés and restaurants, and two elevated walkways, about 700 metres together, link the complex to both parks to form roughly a kilometre of car-free route. That makes it an easy place to combine a walk up Lianhuashan with lunch and some shopping, and on weekends the plazas fill with pop-up markets and food events.
It is also one of Shenzhen's denser clusters of 'firsts': the world's first MUJI three-in-one (store, MUJI Diner and MUJI Hotel), a Galeries Lafayette, a Sony Store and the Mandarin Oriental. By March 2025 the developer counted more than 360 brands across the project.
What to see and do
Rooftop LOFT town
Low-rise streets of boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants on the mall roof, with plenty of outdoor seating. This is where most markets and seasonal events happen.
Sky bridges to Lianhuashan and Bijiashan
Two landscaped elevated walkways connect the roof to the neighbouring parks, so you can walk in from Lianhuashan without crossing a road.
MUJI store, Diner and Hotel
The world's first MUJI Hotel (79 rooms) shares the complex with a large MUJI store and a MUJI Diner. Rooms start around HK$554 per person with breakfast (2026).
Galeries Lafayette
One of only two Galeries Lafayette stores left in mainland China after Chongqing (2025) and Beijing (May 2026) closed; it focuses on contemporary and lifestyle brands. Points are shared with the Shanghai Lujiazui store.
Emperor Cineplex with CINITY
Shenzhen's first cinema with a CINITY screen, opened April 2023 on B1/L1. Standard and laser screenings from about ¥49.9, CINITY from about ¥70 (2026).
Sony Store
A Sony direct-sale store, useful if you want to try cameras and headphones before buying.
