Inside China Resources Tower · In Houhai
Houhai's luxury MixC, now with a photography museum, digital art hall and free water show
Shenzhen Bay MixC (深圳湾万象城) is China Resources' mall at the foot of the 'Spring Bamboo' China Resources Tower in Houhai, opened in December 2018. The basement connects straight into Houhai station, one of Nanshan's busiest interchanges, and the original building carries the top-end luxury houses: Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès.
A second phase opened on 30 September 2025 and roughly doubled the place. The mall is now split into zones A to D with more than 500 brands, including a run of outdoor and running labels, beauty counters and about 80 restaurants, many of them first Shenzhen branches. New public spaces include a water curtain plaza with a free light show, an elevated garden walkway and a sunken dining area.
On 1 October 2026 two cultural venues opened inside the complex: Fotografiska Shenzhen Bay, the Swedish photography museum's first site in south China, and BASE, an immersive digital art hall. That makes it more than a shopping trip, and a reasonable evening out before or after a walk along the bay.
