What is VisionChina Shenzhen (Machine Vision Exhibition & Conference)?
VisionChina is the machine-vision show series of the China Machine Vision Union (CMVU). CMVU is a national industry alliance of camera, lens and lighting makers, system integrators, distributors and end users, with about 360 member companies. The series began in 2004 and now holds editions in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. The Shenzhen edition is run with RX China and has been held alongside NEPCON ASIA at Shenzhen World in Bao'an since 2025. It uses the same dates and the same visitor badge.
The exhibits cover the whole vision stack: area-scan, line-scan, 3D and special cameras (infrared, high-speed); FA, telecentric and high-resolution lenses and filters; LED, UV, infrared and laser lighting; frame grabbers; image-processing and AI algorithm software; smart cameras, code readers and embedded vision; and complete inspection and measurement systems. Newer categories include industrial robots, humanoid and embodied robots, digital twins and AR/VR. In 2025 the Shenzhen show brought together Keyence, Basler, Baumer, LMI Technologies, Daheng Imaging, SmartMore, Do3think, HQ-Vision, Wordop, CST and others. For 2026 Keyence is bringing its LJ-S8000 3D inline profile sensors, and Atometrics (优可测) is showing non-contact thickness measurement for hard wafers such as diamond heat spreaders.
The show is aimed at factory engineers who need to inspect, measure or guide a process with cameras. Examples are solder joints and connectors in electronics assembly, battery welds and busbars, chip warpage in packaging, and gaps and clip fits in car parts. Being next to NEPCON is useful because many of the target customers, the SMT, PCBA, automotive-electronics and display lines, are walking the neighbouring halls. The organizers present the combination as "electronics manufacturing plus machine vision".
Alongside the exhibition, CMVU runs its machine vision technology and industrial application conference, with talks on applications and new products. CMVU also publishes group standards (industrial camera and lens terminology, large-format lens interfaces) and an annual Chinese machine-vision market report, so the show is also a good place to meet the people who shape the domestic industry. Shenzhen is home to many vision integrators and automation-equipment builders serving the electronics factories of Bao'an, Dongguan and Huizhou, which makes this the most application-focused of the three VisionChina editions for electronics.
Why go
- Compare industrial cameras, lenses, lighting and vision software from Keyence, Basler, Baumer, LMI, Daheng and Chinese specialists in one place
- See vision applied to electronics, battery, semiconductor and automotive inspection, next to the NEPCON production lines that use it
- CMVU's machine vision technology and industrial application conference runs alongside
- The NEPCON / ITWA badge covers Halls 9–16, so you can combine it with robotics, smart-factory and automotive shows
Our take
Treat it as part of the NEPCON ASIA week: one badge gets you into both. Bring sample parts or photos of the defects you need to catch. Stands such as Keyence invite visitors to talk through production-line feasibility with their engineers on site.
Go if you're
- Automation and quality engineers adding vision inspection or measurement
- Machine builders and system integrators sourcing cameras, optics and lighting
- Electronics, battery, semiconductor and automotive manufacturers
- Robotics developers working on vision-guided and embodied robots

Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Hotels on site sell out months ahead. Bao'an Center or Qianhai are 25–30 min away with far more choice.
- Wear proper walking shoes — 20k steps a day is normal.
- Taxi queues after 5pm are brutal; walk to Shenzhen World North station or book a Didi for 4:30pm.
- Food courts sit along the central corridor; the ones at the far ends are quieter.
