What is China (Shenzhen) International Pet Supplies Exhibition (Pet Fair)?
The Shenzhen Pet Fair, known in Chinese as 深宠展, is the city's big pet-industry show. It is run by Shenzhen Huayi Times, a local exhibition company founded in 1994, and takes over several halls of the Futian Convention & Exhibition Center twice a year: a spring edition early in the year and an autumn edition in September. The 15th edition ran 12–15 March 2026 and the 16th ran 23–26 September 2026; the 17th is set for 25–28 February 2027, which the organizer pitches as the pet trade's first big show of the year.
The floor covers most of what a pet shop or online store sells. The organizer's 2027 hall plan has Chinese pet-food brands and an international brands hall for dry and wet food, treats and supplements; halls for toys, bowls, leads, carriers, strollers and cooling mats; a cat hall with litter, clothing and bedding; smart products such as automatic feeders, water fountains and self-cleaning litter boxes; grooming, hygiene and veterinary equipment; and a food supply-chain area for OEM/ODM makers, ingredients and packaging. Live dogs, cats and small or exotic pets are part of the show too.
For 2027 the organizer is adding five side shows under a "1+5" format: a pet cross-border e-commerce show, a pet-food supply-chain show, a pet-supplies supply-chain show, a small-animal veterinary conference and a small and exotic pets show. It says it is inviting buyer groups from more than 40 countries and working with Tmall, JD, Douyin, TikTok and Amazon, which makes the fair useful for sellers sourcing pet products from Guangdong factories.
It is also a day out. Pet owners can buy tickets, and the organizer promises competitions and shows such as a cat show, an all-breed dog championship, a cosplay parade and an exotic-pets zone, and expects many visitors from Hong Kong and Macau. For expats with a dog or cat it is a place to find food brands, gadgets and grooming products in one go; for anyone in the pet business it is a quick way to meet South China suppliers.

Our take
The fair fills Halls 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 at Futian (Metro Lines 1 and 4 to Convention & Exhibition Center station). Registration and ticketing run through the organizer's WeChat account, so set that up before you go. The 2027 edition runs Thursday to Sunday; if you are there to source, the two weekdays are the better bet, since pet owners are likelier to come at the weekend.

Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Walk to a dozen business hotels in the CBD, and to the rooftop bars afterwards.
