What is Consumer Electronics Innovation Congress (CEIC)?
CEIC is a young consumer-electronics congress with its own exhibition hall at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Futian. It is not run by a commercial show organizer. The hosts are a group of international industry and standards alliances based in the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong science park, known as the Hetao "6+1". They include the International SparkLink Alliance (the SparkLink short-range wireless standard), the UHD World Association (the Audio Vivid and HDR Vivid formats), the Global Intelligent IoT Consortium (HarmonyOS-based IoT), the World WLAN Application Alliance, the Network Innovation and Development Alliance and the Global Computing Consortium. A cooperation centre under China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology co-hosts.
That background shapes the content. The first edition, in November 2025, was a showcase for China's home-grown technology stack: HarmonyOS 6, SparkLink, Vivid audio and video, next-generation cockpits and chips. Huawei's consumer business CEO gave a keynote. The 2026 edition, themed "Innovation for Infinity", fills Hall 9 (about 20,000 m²) with 300+ companies across smart devices, intelligent mobility, smart living and digital infrastructure. The organizers list more than 20 forums from 21 to 24 October, with speakers from bodies such as the IEC, ITU and ETSI. Logos shown on the 2026 site include Huawei, HiSilicon, Honor, NIO, XPeng, China Mobile, TÜV Rheinland, ModelBest and the component distributor ICkey. Mobility is a new focus this year, with eVTOL aircraft, intelligent cockpits and connected-vehicle tech.
The forum programme is the main draw. Topics include AI computing infrastructure, embodied intelligence and robotics, digital health, AI + Ultra HD, 3D spatial imaging, Wi-Fi, eSIM, the low-altitude economy and a China International Display Conference on 23 October. There is also an evening "Huaqiangbei Street" youth forum on AI hardware. The organizers have announced launches including a UWA spatial-imaging standard, SparkLink 2.0 chips and a first public look at SparkLink 3.0. Side events include an Innovation Park, the SparkLink & OpenHarmony Cup developer competition and an open stage with Shenzhen Media Group.
The venue is a couple of metro stops from Huaqiangbei, and the Huaqiangbei subdistrict office supported the first edition. The show plugs straight into the local hardware scene. Go if you want to understand where the Huawei/HarmonyOS ecosystem and Chinese wireless, video and computing standards are heading, or to meet chip, module and device makers building on them. Don't go expecting a sourcing fair with thousands of booths.
Why go
- See China's home-grown tech stack in one hall: HarmonyOS, SparkLink, Audio & HDR Vivid, domestic chips and computing
- 20+ forums over four days, from AI computing and embodied intelligence to display, Wi-Fi, eSIM and the low-altitude economy
- Meet standards alliances and their member companies if you build products on these ecosystems
- Central Futian venue on Metro Lines 1 and 4, a couple of stops from Huaqiangbei
- Launches announced for 2026, including a UWA spatial-imaging standard and SparkLink 2.0 / 3.0 technology
Our take
Check the forum agenda on the official site first and plan around the sessions you care about, because the programme runs across many meeting rooms from 21 to 24 October. The exhibition itself is one hall, so a few hours is enough. Most session titles are published in English, but expect much of the content to be in Chinese.
Go if you're
- Product and engineering teams building on HarmonyOS, SparkLink or Vivid audio/video
- Chip, module and component suppliers to consumer-electronics makers
- Analysts, investors and journalists tracking Chinese consumer-tech standards
- Hardware founders around Huaqiangbei looking for ecosystem partners

Flying in? The visitor guide
What international buyers ask us most, in one place.
Many passports get 30 days visa-free, and 55 nationalities can use 240-hour visa-free transit via Shenzhen when flying on to a third country. Check your eligibility before booking.
Link a Visa or Mastercard to Alipay or WeChat Pay before you fly — booths, taxis and canteens rarely take cards. Keep ¥500 cash for samples.
Get a roaming eSIM: Google, WhatsApp and Gmail don't work on hotel or venue Wi-Fi. Suppliers will ask for your WeChat, not your email.
Pre-register, bring your passport to collect the badge, and pack 200 business cards. Photograph each card next to the booth number — you'll forget by day two.
Hall English is patchy outside the big brands. A freelance interpreter costs ¥800–1,500 a day; book a week ahead for big fairs.
Don't carry 40 kg home. SF Express and DHL counters sit in the main lobbies and will ship samples door to door from about ¥200.
Walk to a dozen business hotels in the CBD, and to the rooftop bars afterwards.
- Enter from the metro level, not the street — the badge desks are underground.
- Lunch: skip the hall canteens and walk 5 min to the malls around Shopping Park.
