October 2026 is another big month for live music in Shenzhen, starting with the final dates of G.E.M.’s enormous I AM GLORIA tour and continuing with major concerts from Jordan Chan, Raymond Lam, Fish Leong and Yoga Lin.

The livehouse calendar is strong too. International visitors include Groove Coverage, YĪN YĪN, Mamas Gun, Saigon Soul Revival, Bôa, Jake Miller and Karen Souza, covering everything from nostalgic Eurodance and British soul to psychedelic Southeast Asian funk and 1990s alternative rock.

There’s also flamenco, orchestral film music, major international classical performers and Chinese theatre throughout the month.

Shenzhen Concerts & Shows in October 2026: Quick Calendar

October 1, 2, 4 & 5 — G.E.M. 邓紫棋

The final four performances of G.E.M.’s I AM GLORIA 2.0 Shenzhen stadium run.

G.E.M. is one of the biggest Chinese-language pop stars in the world, and these shows close an extraordinary 12-date Shenzhen residency spanning September and October.

October 2 — MISTERK

Chinese independent hip-hop artist playing a headline Shenzhen show after appearing as a guest on several other tour dates this year.

October 3 — Carmen by Antonio Andrade Flamenco Company

A Spanish flamenco interpretation of Carmen, performed by Antonio Andrade’s Seville-based dance company.

Rather than traditional opera, this version tells the story through flamenco dance, Spanish guitar, singing and theatrical staging.

October 3 — Scissor Seven: Chicken Island Music Party

A live music event built around the hugely popular Chinese animated series Scissor Seven (伍六七).

The show features singers associated with the franchise performing music from the series in a livehouse setting.

October 6 — Jordan Chan 陈小春

Hong Kong actor and Cantopop singer Jordan Chan brings his BIGMAN tour to Shenzhen.

Outside China he is probably best known as an actor, particularly for Young and Dangerous, but he has also had a long Cantopop career with songs such as “Exclusive Memory.”

October 6 — Groove Coverage

A major nostalgia booking for anyone who remembers early-2000s European dance music.

German electronic group Groove Coverage became internationally famous through songs including “God Is a Girl,” “7 Years & 50 Days,” “Far Away From Home” and their cover of “Moonlight Shadow.”

The 2026 tour marks the group’s 25th anniversary and combines live vocal performances with a DJ set.

October 6 — Super Music Heroes LIVE

A large multi-artist concert scheduled for Bao’an Stadium during the National Day holiday.

October 7 — String Soliloquies

The Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and Shenzhen Concert Hall continue their chamber-music series with a program centered on strings.

October 9 — Undersea Time Machine 海底时光机

Chinese indie group touring its West Coast Afterglow project.

Their sound sits around melodic indie rock and atmospheric pop rather than heavier alternative music.

October 10–11 — Into a Dream 《入梦》

A Chinese theatrical music production starring singer Huang Shifu 黄诗扶, known for modern music strongly influenced by classical Chinese literature and aesthetics.

The production combines music, storytelling and stage performance rather than functioning as a conventional pop concert.

October 11 — Raymond Lam 林峯

Hong Kong singer and actor Raymond Lam brings a major arena concert to Shenzhen.

Lam became famous through TVB dramas before developing a parallel Cantopop career, making this one of October’s bigger draws for Hong Kong pop-culture fans.

October 11 — YĪN YĪN

One of the most interesting international bookings of October.

Dutch band YĪN YĪN mixes psychedelic rock, funk, disco and Southeast Asian musical influences, particularly sounds inspired by 1960s and 1970s Thai psychedelic music.

Their tracks are heavily groove-driven and largely instrumental — think Khruangbin with more Thai funk, surf guitar and psychedelic disco.

October 11 — MOJOHAND

Chinese blues band MOJOHAND brings its Jump the Blue tour to Shenzhen.

They’re one of the more established mainland bands working seriously within blues, soul and roots-rock traditions rather than simply incorporating a blues influence into Chinese pop.

October 14 — Mamas Gun

British band Mamas Gun is one of October’s strongest international bookings.

Formed in London, the group makes contemporary soul, funk and R&B heavily influenced by 1970s artists such as Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

Their sound is warm, melodic and heavily groove-based rather than retro cosplay — an easy recommendation for anyone who likes modern soul bands such as Jungle, Thee Sacred Souls or Mayer Hawthorne.

October 16 — Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra: New World Reminiscences

A major Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra concert presented as part of the 2026 Shenzhen Belt & Road International Music Festival.

October 16 — Jiojio & Fimoo

A smaller Chinese livehouse show built around emerging artists Jiojio and Fimoo.

October 17 — Fish Leong 梁静茹

One of the month's biggest concerts.

Malaysian-born singer Fish Leong has been one of Mandarin pop’s defining ballad singers for more than two decades. She is particularly associated with emotionally direct love songs and enormous singalong choruses.

Her catalogue includes Mandarin pop staples such as “Courage” (勇气) and “Sadly It’s Not You” (可惜不是你).

October 17 — Li Zhen & Wuhan Star River Chamber Choir

A contemporary Chinese choral concert in the Shenzhen Belt & Road International Music Festival.

October 17 — Shen Lu Plays Brahms

Chinese pianist Shen Lu performs a Brahms-focused piano program.

October 18 — Saigon Soul Revival

This is another international show worth paying attention to.

Saigon Soul Revival is a Vietnamese band devoted to the extraordinary psychedelic and soul music that emerged from South Vietnam during the 1960s and early 1970s.

Their music mixes Vietnamese vocals, psychedelic rock, funk, soul and vintage Southeast Asian pop, but the band writes original material as well as drawing from that history.

For fans of Khruangbin, Cambodian psychedelic rock, Thai funk or crate-digging world music, this could be one of the most interesting shows of the month.

The band's China-tour announcement listed Shenzhen on October 18 before a venue was named. It has since been listed at HOU LIVE (KK ONE) in Futian, as the closing party of the Youfangre Urban Music Festival.

October 18 — Zhouzhou & Xiaohuo 粥粥和小伙

Chinese folk-pop duo touring their relaxed Take It Easy show.

Their sound is light, melodic and acoustic-oriented, making this one of the month's gentler livehouse choices.

October 23 — Irrevocable 不可撤销

Chinese indie band Irrevocable celebrates ten years of its song/project Marry Me with a special anniversary tour.

Their music leans toward romantic Chinese indie pop and guitar-driven alternative music, and this tour is very explicitly built around nostalgia and relationships.

October 23 — Singapore Symphony Orchestra

A major international classical booking featuring the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, conductor Hannu Lintu and young Singaporean violinist Chloe Chua.

Chua first attracted international attention after jointly winning the junior division of the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition at just 11 years old.

October 24 — Jake Miller

American singer, rapper and songwriter Jake Miller brings The Spark Tour to Shenzhen.

Miller built his early following online before developing a career that moves between pop, hip-hop and melodic electronic pop. He has toured internationally and built a particularly loyal fanbase through independently released music and social media.

October 24 — An Gang 暗杠

Chinese singer-songwriter known for narrative-driven folk music and understated arrangements.

His Sun · Moon · Grassland tour is built around the traditional idea of a travelling storyteller and should appeal more to folk and acoustic-music fans than mainstream pop audiences.

October 24 — Very Delicious 很美味

Chinese pop singer touring the Best Before / 赏味期 project.

October 24 — Harry Potter Magical Journey Concert

An afternoon concert built around music associated with the Harry Potter film series, performed by UNO Ensemble.

This is a themed concert rather than an official film-with-live-orchestra production.

October 24 — Game of Thrones Symphonic Concert

The Shenzhen City Philharmonic performs a large-scale program of music from Game of Thrones and other cinematic scores.

October 25 — Bôa

For alternative-rock fans, this is arguably one of the month's most interesting bookings.

British band Bôa formed in London in the 1990s and developed a cult following through their song “Duvet,” which became the opening theme for the influential anime Serial Experiments Lain.

Decades later, “Duvet” unexpectedly exploded again through TikTok and streaming, introducing the band to a huge younger audience.

Their music blends dream pop, alternative rock and indie rock, with Jasmine Rodgers’ distinctive soft vocals giving them a sound that still feels remarkably current.

October 28 — Fazıl Say

Turkish pianist and composer Fazıl Say is one of the biggest classical names visiting Shenzhen this month.

Say is internationally known not only as a virtuoso pianist but also as a composer who frequently incorporates Turkish musical traditions into contemporary classical music.

October 30 — Jin Chi 金池

Chinese vocalist Jin Chi is known for her powerful soul- and R&B-influenced voice and became nationally recognized through The Voice of China.

October 30 — Zoo Nail House 动物园钉子户

Chinese indie band touring new EP pastday.

They sit firmly in the younger mainland indie scene, with guitar-oriented alternative pop and indie-rock songwriting rather than mainstream Mandopop production.

October 30 — Extremely Noble Gentleman 极品贵公子

Chinese hip-hop artist playing a Shenzhen headline show.

October 30–31 — Yoga Lin 林宥嘉

October closes with one of Taiwan's most distinctive mainstream singers.

Yoga Lin won the first season of Taiwanese talent competition One Million Star and went on to build a career that is much more musically adventurous than the typical TV-show winner.

His catalogue moves between Mandopop, indie rock, electronic music, jazz-influenced pop and emotional ballads, with a distinctive vocal style that can move from whispery intimacy to much bigger choruses.

October 31 — Karen Souza

Argentine jazz singer Karen Souza closes the month with a very different kind of show.

Souza became internationally known through jazz reinterpretations of pop and rock songs, turning tracks by artists such as Radiohead and Depeche Mode into smoky lounge-jazz arrangements.

Her voice and arrangements draw heavily on bossa nova, vocal jazz and late-night lounge music, making this one of October's better date-night concerts.

October has several genuinely large shows.

G.E.M. — October 1, 2, 4 & 5

These are the final performances of G.E.M.'s I AM GLORIA Shenzhen run.

The Shenzhen engagement eventually expanded to 12 stadium concerts between September 11 and October 5, an extraordinary number of dates for a single city.

Jordan Chan — October 6

For Cantopop nostalgia, Jordan Chan's National Day concert is one of the month's bigger events.

Venue: Shenzhen Bay Sports Center Arena.

Raymond Lam — October 11

Raymond Lam brings another major Hong Kong pop concert to Shenzhen less than a week later.

Venue: Shenzhen Universiade Center Arena.

Fish Leong — October 17

Fish Leong should produce one of the month's biggest singalong crowds, particularly for anyone who grew up with 2000s Mandarin pop.

Venue: Shenzhen Bay Sports Center Stadium.

Yoga Lin — October 30–31

Yoga Lin closes October with his world-tour dates at Shenzhen Bay.

Venue: Shenzhen Bay Sports Center Stadium.

October is particularly varied.

Groove Coverage — October 6

This is pure early-2000s nostalgia and should be one of the month's more immediately recognizable international shows.

YĪN YĪN — October 11

Probably my pick for the coolest smaller international booking of the month.

Mamas Gun — October 14

An easy recommendation even if you've never heard the band before.

Saigon Soul Revival — October 18

This could be the most unusual international show in Shenzhen this October.

Jake Miller — October 24

Bôa — October 25

Their unexpected Gen-Z revival makes this much more than a straightforward 1990s nostalgia tour.

Karen Souza — October 31

If you don't recognize most of the names, these would be our shortlist.

For a massive pop concert: Fish Leong — October 17.

For Cantopop: Jordan Chan — October 6.

For alternative rock: Bôa — October 25.

For something genuinely interesting: YĪN YĪN — October 11.

For soul and funk: Mamas Gun — October 14.

For psychedelic/world music: Saigon Soul Revival — October 18.

For 2000s nostalgia: Groove Coverage — October 6.

For jazz: Karen Souza — October 31.

For classical: Fazıl Say — October 28, or the Singapore Symphony Orchestra on October 23.

For Chinese indie: Zoo Nail House — October 30.

October also demonstrates why it's worth checking several Shenzhen ticketing sources. ShowStart (秀动) is particularly useful for livehouse shows, while Damai (大麦) carries many of the biggest stadium concerts. Shenzhen Concert Hall maintains its own schedule for classical performances.

More October shows have been announced since this guide first went out. These are on our calendar:
