Saigon Soul Revival are a five-piece from Ho Chi Minh City who, since 2016, have been bringing back the sound of pre-1975 Saigon: the golden-era pop and soul of the city's old nightclubs, reworked with new arrangements and original songs. Psychedelic organ, funk grooves, surf and ska guitar sit alongside traditional instruments like the đàn nguyệt and đàn bầu. Their debut Họa Âm Xưa (2019) was nominated for a Songlines Music Award and championed on French and British radio, and the band followed it with Mối Lương Duyên and, in 2026, Chốn Ta Về. They headline the closing party of the Youfangre urban music festival in Shenzhen: a groovy, danceable night even if you've never heard a note of Vietnamese pop.
