Design Society

The cultural platform that runs the Sea World Culture and Arts Center, Fumihiko Maki's building on the Shekou waterfront. Opened in late 2017 by China Merchants Shekou, it stages large design and art exhibitions, some with partners such as the V&A, plus talks and events in the building's galleries and on its public terraces.

Last two weeks: about 50 works by the Australian artist Lindy Lee, including a walk-in room of perforated steel that throws star-like light, in Shekou until 18 October.
