Shye is the stage name of Singaporean singer-songwriter Trinity Shye-Anne Brown, born in 2002 to a Chinese-Singaporean mother and a British father. She won the Vans Musicians Wanted showcase at 16, released her debut album Days to Morning Glory in 2020, which won Best New Artist at Singapore's Freshmusic Awards, and was named Best New Act from Asia at the NME Awards 2022. Her songs move between bedroom pop, dream pop and fuzzy shoegaze guitars (Chinese promoters bill her as a 'shoegaze doll'), and she reached mainland viewers on the TV contest Youth π Plan. Her second album, The Doves Came Home, is out in 2026. The Return tour stop at HOU LIVE is an easy pick for fans of soft, hazy guitar pop sung in English.
