Schnellertollermeier are a Swiss instrumental trio, Andi Schnellmann on bass, Manuel Troller on guitar and David Meier on drums, whose surnames are squeezed into the band name. They met through jazz schools in Switzerland and Scandinavia and have played together for well over a decade, mixing jazz, punk, rock, noise and free improvisation into something their label calls 'brutal jazz'. Their albums on the US label Cuneiform, X (2015), Rights (2017) and 5 (2020), are full of hypnotic repetition that suddenly explodes.
