Saidan are a black metal duo from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2020, whose songs are steeped in Japanese folklore, ghost stories and horror. The music pairs a raw, lo-fi guitar tone and shrieked vocals with surprisingly triumphant, Eastern-scale melodies and atmospheric synths, sometimes with traditional Japanese instruments. Their Onryō records take their name from the vengeful spirits of Japanese legend. The 2026 Asia tour brings their mix of East Asian ghost stories and gothic black metal to Shenzhen: one for metal fans who like atmosphere with their blast beats.
