Mojo Hand 魔力手魔力手

Beijing, China · Blues, Chicago blues, Blues rock

Mojo Hand (魔力手, also written MOJOHAND) are a Beijing blues band founded in 2014 by bassist Wang Zheng and guitarist Wei Wei, who had travelled to Chicago and down the Mississippi Delta to learn the music at its source. They're widely described as China's leading blues band, and their sets cover the whole history of the style, from Delta songs in the Robert Johnson mould to electric Chicago blues à la Muddy Waters. They've released three albums, including Black Blue Workshop (黑蓝作坊) and Blues in Progress (蓝调进行时), toured more than sixty Chinese cities and played Midi Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival. The 2026 Jump the Blue tour marks twelve years, a nod to the twelve-bar blues.
