葡萄不愤怒 (Pútáo Bù Fènnù, literally 'the grapes aren't angry') are a Beijing pop-punk band formed in November 2013, playing the newer, emo-tinged 'new school' strain of pop punk. The name has no deep meaning: it was the singer's gaming handle and just sounded fun. They released their first EP, 迷途未返, in 2015, won the Midi School campus band contest in 2017 and appeared on the first season of The Big Band (乐队的夏天) in 2019; their 2021 album 我无可救药的执念 is all original material. Fast, catchy and made for jumping, their MAO Sea World show is a Chinese-language gig, but the energy translates.
