The ancient Qiuci region once stood at the strategic heart of the Silk Road. Today, the Qiuci cave art, epitomized by the Kizil Caves, stands as enduring testimony to Xinjiang’s historical role as a vibrant meeting point of diverse cultures and religions. Recognized as a key literary and artistic creation project of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, “Qiuci” brings together some of China’s most accomplished artists.
