View venueZhang Dali — A 40-Year Journey Through Design & Art
Born in Harbin in 1963, Zhang Dali graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing (now Tsinghua University) in 1987. He is one of China's most incisive contemporary artists, known for his cross-disciplinary practice spanning graphic design, spatial installations, and public visual experiences. His work covers calligraphy, painting, sculpture, photography, and more.
As a longtime Shenzhen-based creator with over 40 years of practice, Zhang Dali has witnessed the city's transformation from the early 'waves of going to sea' to the high-speed construction era — and he channels all of this lived experience into art that can be touched, entered, and felt.
