Psychological Counseling

In order to help expat residents who need preliminary psychological counseling but have language barriers, Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats, along with Courtney Gumson, a Mental Health Counselor from the USA, and Wanyi Zheng, a Bilingual Counselor from China, provides free psychological counseling and advice for expat residents.

Courtney Gumson is a Licensed Master Social Worker accredited by the Maryland Department of Health in the United States, with a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and more than 16 years of experience working in mental health and education in international settings. Support adults and families experiencing stress, anxiety, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges.

Wanyi Zheng holds a Master in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Edinburgh, is a bilingual counselor with the Scottish Mental Health Association, and is a member of the Association of Chinese Psychological and Support Professionals International (ACHPPPI).She has an eclecticapproach, specializing in humanistic-based work combinedwith interpersonal orientation, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, etc.
